Our Story

Hi! I'm Jamelah.

I’m a foodie and have been my whole life. I’ve always loved to entertain and cook for friends and family. My love for food wasn’t always very healthy in fact major health issues that started to show up in my personal lifestyle moved me to get more educated about food and how it can impact our life.

Nour·ish ICT was born because I’m passionate about helping others be able to purchase healthy whole food that is not processed with chemical additives that harm us. FOOD IS MEDICINE. Not only does it fuel our bodies and our mind, it also can heal our bodies. It all comes down to our daily choices but it doesn’t mean we have to take drastic measures and eat bland boring food. Healthy food can and should be DELICIOUS!

Healthy food takes TIME and that is a precious commodity that most of us are short on. Nourish ICT is here to give you back some of that precious time to use it where you most want and yet allow you to fuel your body healthfully. We do the grocery shopping, prepare and food and leave you very little clean up.

Hi! I'm Mike.

To say that I am thrilled to be a part of Nourish ICT is pretty much the understatement of the century. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work in a kitchen with like-minded people who are passionate about real food that is delicious, wholesome and nourishing to our bodies. Producing healthy meals for busy families doesn’t feel like work – it’s feels like a dream.

I have been passionate about food and cooking for my entire life. My earliest memory was cooking with my dad with a dishcloth tucked into my waistband as my apron. He sat me up on the countertop and I helped stir. When I was 12, I started helping in the small-town gas station restaurant my grandparents owned. I still have the spatula I used to cook on that flat-top grill – the edges are worn down from years of use.

Since I was a teenager, I have devoured every cookbook and cooking show I could find. I watched Iron Chef on Food Network when it was still translated from Japanese. I have watched every episode of Good Eats, the original and “the Return.” I bought all of Gordon Ramsay’s cookbooks published in the UK before they were available in the US – metric measurements, typos and all.

My wife, Michelle, hated going to the grocery store when I met her, but she did love good food! Throughout our relationship, as I have shared my love of food with her, she has become a full-on foodie. The two of us have gone on a deep-dive with food – reading everything we can find about how food can be used to nourish and heal our bodies.

I have always loved food and cooking, but together we have developed a passion for feeding our family meals that are rich in nutrients from whole-food sources and incorporating fermented foods and prebiotics to maintain a healthy gut microbiome. I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to share this passion with you and your family through the meals I will be cooking for Nourish ICT!

Hi! I'm Jess.

nourishict

I am so excited to be part of Nourish ICT and bring my expertise in business, herbalism and gardening to the team.  I have been a business owner, coach and educator in the natural health world since 2005 and I’m grateful to use the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years to help Nourish ICT thrive.

My love for nature and passion for gardening started when I was a little girl spending my summers on my grandparent’s farm right here in Kansas.  I loved helping my grandmother in her garden and spending time with her in the kitchen.  I also enjoyed my time out in the wheat field planting and harvesting with my grandpa.  I began to really dive deep into the “food is medicine” concept after losing my dad to lung cancer in 2018.  Since then, I have made it my mission to help as many people as I possibly can to heal themselves in a natural way.

I am also a certified emotion code practitioner and use the ancient practices of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine to eliminate FEAR associated with getting sick and my goal is to help as many people as I can to realize their power to heal comes from the inside which starts with putting nourishing food in our bodies to support and create a flourishing and vibrant gut microbiome.  I truly believe the power that made the body heals the body and our health is a reflection of the choices we make.  I am so excited to continue A Beautiful Day Café’s legacy of providing the “garden to table” concept in some of our meals when available!
